VIPP final test audit
VIPP (Acceleration Programme for Patient and Professional Information Exchange) is a programme that helps medical institutions further improve digital information exchange with the patient and between institutions. These institutions may be eligible for a subsidy from the Dutch Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport. The programme is divided into three groups: hospitals, other specialist medical institutions and mental healthcare institutions. The purpose of the subsidy is to provide standardised access to patient data in order to ensure that:
- Patients receive accurate, complete information.
- Patients can share the information with other healthcare providers.
- There are further opportunities for IT-related healthcare innovations.
VIPP subsidy on completion of modules
In order to receive a VIPP subsidy, there must be evidence that the various modules have been completed successfully. The Dutch Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport has drawn up a manual containing the conditions for the ‘final test’ that is required. The final test can be requested for one or multiple modules at the same time, as long as they fall within the timeline of the modules. At the end of the test phase, the final test establishes whether the conditions of the subsidy scheme have been met.
Audit for VIPP final test
The final test is checked by an IT auditor (Registered EDP auditor) in accordance with NOREA Richtlijn 3000. For the performance of the audit, a standards framework has been drawn up describing the subsidy conditions. The purpose of the audit is to determine the design (layout) and operational effectiveness (existence) of data processing using the modules realised. Of course, our IT auditors will perform the audit of the VIPP final test. We can also assist with an ENSIA accountability process or a DigiD assessment.
