More about me

Kim van de Kasteele has worked at Moore DRV since 2020 as an employment law specialist and HR adviser. In 2025, she was appointed Director of HR and Employment Law Advisory, reflecting her extensive experience in this field. Kim graduated in 2016 from Erasmus University Rotterdam with a degree in Law, specialising in employment law and building a strong foundation for her career.

After completing her studies, Kim gained valuable experience at various commercial and advisory organisations, where she applied her expertise in HR and employment law in practice. In her current role as an employment lawyer, she supports organisations and employees in navigating the complexities of labour legislation. Her work includes advising on employment conditions and contracts, individual and collective dismissals, long-term sickness and incapacity for work, and the use of self-employed professionals within SME environments. In addition to her professional activities, Kim is an active member of Kiwanis Belle Flucius in Bergen op Zoom, a network of female entrepreneurs committed to supporting local charities. She has served as Chair of this association since October 2023. Outside work, Kim enjoys spending time with her family and friends.

Sharing knowledge with peers

In addition to applying her expertise for Moore DRV’s clients, Kim leads a team of HR advisers and employment law specialists. This dynamic role calls for more than in-depth legal knowledge alone. It also requires strong communication and organisational skills, which is where Kim truly excels. With great enthusiasm, she translates complex legal topics into clear, practical insights for her team and establishes a transparent and consistent way of working.

Kim also takes an active role in sharing knowledge beyond her own team. She regularly delivers training sessions and presentations on a wide range of HR and employment law topics for clients and colleagues. In addition, the Dutch public broadcaster NOS invited her to comment as an HR expert on the European directive that requires organisations to be transparent about pay policies for both men and women. According to Kim, this legislation forces many companies to take a significant, but positive, step forward.

In an interview on NPO Radio 1 and an article on NOS.nl, she explained the implications of this regulation, particularly for SMEs. One of the consequences is that organisations will need to justify why one employee earns more than another. Keeping this administration in order and correcting pay differences can take time and money. Kim supports organisations by reviewing their reward policies and helping them set up clear frameworks and partly automated workflows to manage this administration efficiently.

Versatile expertise

Thanks to her wide-ranging expertise, Kim is a valuable sounding board for entrepreneurs on many fronts. As shown in the case video below, she was involved at an early stage with a fast-growing company that needed to reorganise and was often reacting too late to developments. Kim supported the organisation in setting up a solid HR structure and automating its personnel administration. At the same time, all HR documents were legally reviewed and a comprehensive employee handbook was developed. This integrated approach saves time, creates clarity and ensures the organisation remains fully in control. The video below clearly illustrates this process and its impact.

Kim is also a member of Kiwanis Belle Flucius in Bergen op Zoom, where she has served as Chair since 1 October 2023. This association for female entrepreneurs is dedicated to supporting local charities. In her spare time, Kim enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
