In the Netherlands, we have two VAT rates: 9 and 21%. But what are the rates in the rest of the EU? The answer is that they range considerably across Europe. In Luxembourg, for instance, the standard rate is 16%; in Hungary, it is 27%. And what about in countries such as Belgium, Germany, France and Italy?
