Moore DRV and Ruitenburg adviseurs
& accountants join forces 

With the affiliation of Ruitenburg adviseurs & accountants, Moore DRV strengthens its position in the province of South Holland. Ruitenburg (300 employees) is located in Delft, The Hague, Maasdijk and Maassluis. Earlier this year, the affiliation of Rijkse likewise strengthened Moore’s position in Zeeland.  

It is unlikely to be the last affiliation this year. ‘We see many opportunities to further increase our value for entrepreneurs in the real economy and for our people. This will require growing to a top-10 position in the sector’, said Marco Utermark, chairman of the board of Moore DRV. ‘We want to remain a leader in the South-Western Netherlands, especially as an employer. After all, all our ambitions hinge on sufficient, well-qualified, entrepreneurial people. Maintaining our culture and core values, and offering special development opportunities are therefore prerequisites for growth.’

Raising the bar

‘We, and the directors of Ruitenburg as well, see that the real economy comes with additional challenges for business owners, such as being accountable when it comes to sustainability, fraud and other risks. Business owners are investing in knowledge and, for example, AI and robotisation themselves, making the demand on us more challenging and interesting. Family businesses want to grow internationally. For us, these developments are hugely interesting, raising the bar for us and providing plenty of development opportunities for our people. That’s why we want to invest more in broader and more specialised services and in staff development opportunities at a more accelerated pace than we have in recent years.’

The benefits for the parties

The wider development opportunities for employees along with the people-oriented culture were the main reasons for Ruitenburg to join Moore DRV. In particular, Ruitenburg chose Moore DRV because of the cultural match between the two organisations and its strength in recruitment. Specialist teams and the Moore Global network furthermore give Ruitenburg new opportunities to be more meaningful to clients. ‘For years, we have been looking for the right partner to realise opportunities in the challenging labour market with. We are happy to have found this partner’, said Jan-Pieter Bood (Ruitenburg board chairman). Moore DRV is pleased with the reinforcement the firm brings, including Ruitenburg’s knowledge of corporate law.

Growth

Moore DRV grew organically and through affiliations in recent years. The most recent affiliations are Trivent (central and eastern Brabant) in 2023 and Rijkse (Zeeland and Barendrecht) as of 1 January this year. This brought the number of employees to 1,000 and the number of branches to 13. The affiliation announced today entails a growth to 1,300 employees and 17 branches. Moore DRV partnership increases from 35 to 50 partners.

The revenue forecast for Moore DRV in 2024 is €110 million, excluding the affiliation announced today.
