With the formal completion of the merger between Moore DRV and Moore MKW and the integration of Improven, Moore continues its strong growth in the Netherlands. Moore has also announced the composition of the Executive Board and Supervisory Board for the new organisation.
Strategy achieved at a rapid pace
When the strategy was defined in 2023, Moore DRV made clear its ambition to invest in innovation, the breadth of its services, its people and its governance. Over the past few years, Moore DRV’s revenue has tripled. At the same time, digitisation, automation and the application of AI have accelerated significantly and new services have been introduced to the market. Moore MKW and Improven have also shown strong development. The combination of the three companies creates a large and strong accounting and advisory organisation for SMEs in the Netherlands, with more than forty offices, 2,800 employees and expected gross revenue of €350 million. This places Moore firmly among the top six accounting and advisory firms in the Netherlands and makes it the largest firm fully focused on SMEs. This is the ambitious position the organisation has been working towards.
Composition of the Executive Board and Supervisory Board
A Holding Board has been appointed for the new organisation, consisting of Marco Utermark (Chair), Eric Hutten and Marco du Pré. In view of the organisation’s current scale and the opportunities and challenges facing both the accountancy sector and SMEs, a search for highly experienced candidates for the Supervisory Board was conducted over the past year. With the appointment of Ada van der Veer-Vergeer, Moore has appointed a highly respected Dutch supervisory director as Chair. The other two members are Jan Dalhuisen, former member of the Executive Board and Managing Partner EMEA at Deloitte, and Arnoud Klerkx, who brings extensive expertise in technological innovation and digital transformation.
Looking ahead
Marco Utermark, Chair of the Executive Board, comments on the future: “We have grown incredibly fast in recent years. This has required a great deal from our people, but their efforts have delivered enormous value for the organisation as a whole. We can now support SME entrepreneurs across the full breadth of their business processes, helping them become even stronger and more resilient for the future. That is particularly important in today’s environment. Our focus now will be on making all our knowledge and innovations accessible through our extensive network of offices. Our second priority is, of course, the merger process. We will continue to expand our office network in a number of strategically important locations, but not at the scale and pace seen in recent years. Ultimately, it is about becoming better every day.”
